This can seem like a daunting task and is one which homeowners often wait until the last minute to address. They later regret not putting more time and effort into this aspect.

Once you see the inside of your home and know the layout, your brain should automictically start picturing hat you want it to look like. From buying couches and beds to ordering premium rugs online, it’s never too early to start preparing for the move-in. Make a check list of large room-filling items first. Beds, couches, chairs, tables.. then move on to rugs, paintings, books, nicknacks and curtains. A checklist is a great idea for this process.
Stores like Home Depot, Lowe’s or even Amazon will help you fill in the gaps after the major items are already added. This is an exciting time, but it can also be very stressful. Spending an hour or two a week on home decor before you are able to move in will ease some of that stress from your life.
Don’t be afraid to enlist the help of your family or best friend to help making tough decisions. They will often be glad you asked for their advice. And if the interior of the home turns out to be ugly then you can always blame them later. I hope you detected the sarcasm in that last sentence.
